I travel light, arrive a day early, and spend the morning of your wedding walking your venue in the same light I’ll photograph you in — so the day feels familiar before it begins. What you keep are honest, unhurried photographs of the people who flew in for you.

I'm Marius. I photograph weddings in Costa Rica.

I'm Marius — a wedding photographer based on Costa Rica's Pacific coast. The light here, the way the jungle spills onto the sand, the long golden hours before the ocean takes the sun — it's the reason I do this, and it's home. My work has been recognised internationally, but what I'm proudest of is quieter: couples who still write, years later, to say the photographs feel exactly like the day did.
I shoot documentary first — the real laughs, the look your father gives you at the aisle, the way your friends fold into one frame at the reception. I stay out of the way and let the day breathe. Somewhere in the best light of the evening I'll quietly pull the two of you aside — barefoot in the surf, under the palms — for a handful of portraits, and then I hand the day back to you.
I work all across the country — Guanacaste, the Nicoya Peninsula, Santa Teresa, Manuel Antonio, the Osa, the Caribbean side. Beach ceremonies, jungle elopements, clifftop villas, long tables under string lights. If you're planning something a little off the map, even better — those tend to be the days I love most.
